It started as a party song. We would play it as our encore and just go crazy, when everyone was peak lubricated with alcohol. Originally it was called “The Bar Song” but “Self Destruction” seemed applicable because if not kept in check that’s what you’re doing. 1 turns into 2, 5, 10 however many until you’re a zombie. The song is basically about wasting away, losing friends, getting into fights, and ultimately not caring because you’re too loaded to care. Running away from reality with another round.
